Jean de Brabant started engaging in Family film biographies, after his half-brother François Tisseyre died in an accidental plane crash, leaving few photographic memories to his 8,10 and 12 year old children. Several weeks later, Jean it flashed through Jean’s mind how wonderful it would have been, for his children, if François had recorded his family history on film.
It then became Jean’s mission to have individuals tell their family story on film.
As of now, he has recorded the lives of over 100 families. His team includes Michèle Marchand, for decades a film director at Radio-Canada, who ensures that the films are broadcast quality.
